Today let's talk about a tricky piece of underwear to master: the bustier.
As you all know some pieces of underwear are worn simply for function.Others are meant to be worn for sex appeal. 

The bustier is the rare underthing that can  either be worn under clothes simply to boost your bust or on the outside to add a sultry twist to your wardrobe.

Let's find below , few pointers to wear your bustier with style.

How to choose them?

It's true getting the right fit on bustiers can be tricky especially if they have built-in bra cups. 

You want it to fit your waist and hips without the cups being too big or small. The sizes are based on bra sizes.

A general guide would be:
32 = A cup
34 =  A-B cup
36 = C-D cup
38 = D-DD cup

If your bust and cup size are very different, you can still make it work. If you have a very small bust and large cup size, then you will want to order by your cup size and have the top taken in. If you have a large bust and small cup size, then wear a push-up bra underneath to fill out the cups.

  

 

Two rules stands for all  pairings when it comes to bustier:
if you are not comfortable about showing your tummy , choose a high-waisted piece for the bottom to pair with your bustier...
if you are not comfortable about showing your shoulders, put something on top.It may be a cardigan or a blazer...

How to wear them?

As a top, with a skirt

Take advantage of popular high-waisted number of skirts to make a statement. You may simply tuck the bottom of your bustier into a pencil skirt or a flirty floral one.However, be careful about which bustier you choose to wear with a skirt. Leave the frilly, lacy and see-through pieces for the bedroom if there is no extra coverage such as a blazer over it.

As a top, with jeans or pants

You know how everything manages to look good with jeans? Bustiers are no exception. Just be careful to choose the right size for both the bustier and jeans. A little tummy showing is sexy, but a little tummy flowing out from the top of your jeans just means they're too tight.

Now about pants,if you don't want to stand out too much, then team your bustier with a pair of high waisted pants to make it not look like a separate. Turn it into a jumpsuit instead.

As a top, under a jacket or sweater

Want to look both sexy and professional? Hit the boardroom with a bustier under a regal blazer or a conservative sweater. Mixing the dichotomy of conservative and vavavoom is a great way to make a fashion statement without going over the top. Adapt this look to your age by experimenting with a wide variety of outerwear on top.

For wich style?

Chic

On a urban note,play the black and white card(timeless chic duo).Try a black leather jogger with your bustier.Tie up the look with a white tailored blazer and finish the look with statement heels.

Want to go gothic? play it all  black .Team a maxi high-waisted lacy skirt with your bustier.You may eventually ditch the lacy bustier with a leather one.Heels,boots and even flats to finish the look. 

Corporate

The blazer is out. Put it over your bustier . Try your black bustier with a printed high-low chiffon skirt. To tie and dress up the look add vibrant red blazer(for once we will do an exception for this flashy but still classy colour).Wedges or heels to complete the look.

To dress down the look, and make it effortlessly classy take a vintage batik skirt to pair with your lacy bustier.Add a black leather blazer and belt for some rough an edgy accents.Complete the look with flats and there you are!








Casual

You may play with  maxi chiffon skirts or shorts for a summery look.

Wedges,sandals(or flats) and oversize bag  to finish the look.
