Queens ,Chambray is definitely a must try trend!

Why do we love it so much! Because Chambray can be anything and everything you want it to be, depending on what you put with it and how you wear it!

Our article will focus on Chambray shirts .They are amazingly versatile and are a good alternative to the good old white tee. Mix them with skinny jeans, colored denim, dresses and skirts….the options are endless! .Get some pointers on how to rock your Chambray below.

How to choose it?

It starts with selecting the right style for you. For some this means a regular shirt or dress, and for others it means a tunic or empire cut style. It may take  ages to find the right chambray if you are too fussy about details . Bare in mind that your Chambray has to be soft and lightweight . It also has to be in the right wash and fit just so.

Isn’t chambray the same thing as denim? Not quite. Both fabrics are made of cotton, but chambray is more lightweight, making it perfect for summer. The linen-like cloth gets the name chambray because it originated in Cambrai, France.

How to wear it?

Beneath a Blazer: You can dress your chambray up for the office by wearing it beneath a blazer, or you can also use this pairing to make a casual outfit just a bit classier. We love the way this fresh white blazer contrasts with the mostly-blue outfit here. It’s a perfect summertime-cool combination.

With a Skirt: There’s something so ladylike about wearing a fitted chambray with a skirt. It’s a flattering juxtaposition of something slightly masculine with something oh-so-feminine. For the most impact, find a skirt that contrasts with the denim. You can wear the shirt tucked into the skirt or knotted at the waist. The goal is to maximize the narrowest part of your waist. 

Over a Dress:  throw on a chambray and nip it at the waist with a skinny belt or  knot it . The look is relaxed but still tailored – the perfect combination for summer.

Chambray on Denim: Be very careful here. The last thing we want is to make the mistake of turning our oh-so-cute outfit into a total mess. Our advice is to pair either contrasting blue denim or identical blue shades.Only then , the pieces will work together as a sort of tone-on-tone look. Chambray is also excellent over patterned and colored denim.


For which style?

For the last couple of years, the go-to clothing item of spring and summer is the maxi skirt.  And one of it's perfect partners is the chambray shirt. Wear derbies,jewellery sandals or flats to complete the look.Oversize bag of course!

In fact you can tie your chambray shirt around any of your summer essentials (i.e. maxi dress, sun dress, shell tank, etc.).

Whether for work or a night on the town, chambray has the potential to look classically chic. 


Pair it with a great pencil skirt or even a stylish pant suit for a corporate look. On a more romantic note, it's good to know that chambray shirt do like floral pattern ,be it on  a jeans or a skirt.

Chambray meets going out when you pair it with some of your favorite night time duds(metallic short or skirt). we love chambray paired with sequins or even a sleek leather pant. Throw on your rock-n-roll accents or play up your fun side with fringe and color.

Pair your favorite chambray style top with a light-weigh blazer or cardigan for summer. As seen in the pic above, the blazer gives your denim a crisp, preppy look that you can easily style at home! 

To  dress it even more for a upper like look ,ditch your light-weigh blazer for a tweed jacket.Complete the look with some statement heels such as leopard pump.Et Voilà!
